About SCR

Scholarly Communications Report and its new sister publication SCR Conference Reports combine to give essential reading for all those who need to keep abreast of developments in scholarly communications, and in particular the impact of electronic publishing.

SCR publications will be of interest to commercial, society and academic publishers, intermediaries and subscription agents providing services to scholars as well as library managers responsible for electronic resource provision.

The Editors

Scholarly Communications Report is written, and jointly owned, by David Brown, Ruth Jones and Albert Prior, all of whom have extensive experience in the publishing and information services field.

David Brown is Manager of Publisher Relations at the British Library. Previously he was director of Strategy at Ingenta Ltd, and was for many years a leading publishing and information industry consultant.

Albert Prior is co-director of Content Complete, the licensing company. He worked in the subscription agency field for over 25 years. He was Managing Director of subscription agents Swets UK Ltd, and more recently Managing Director of Extenza. He is past Chair of the United Kingdom Serials Group.

Ruth Jones is Head of Product Development at the British Library. Previously she was a General Manager of Extenza e-Publishing Services. Ruth has extensive scholarly and professional publishing experience, primarily in the STM arena.
